Mobile Serpentine Belt & Hose Replacement

Belts and hoses are cheap parts that cause expensive problems when they fail. A snapped serpentine belt can take out your alternator, power steering and water pump all at once. A burst radiator hose can overheat an engine in minutes, which is a real risk in a Texas summer.

Rubber ages from heat as much as from miles. Walter can inspect them, replace what's worn, and check the cooling system while he's there.

What's included

  • Inspection of serpentine/drive belts for cracks, glazing and wear
  • Belt tensioner and idler pulley check
  • Serpentine belt replacement
  • Upper and lower radiator hose and heater hose replacement
  • Coolant level check and top-off or refill after hose work
  • Leak check after the repair

Signs you need it

  • Visible cracks or fraying on the belt
  • Coolant puddle (green, orange or pink) under the car
  • Sweet smell from the engine bay

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a serpentine belt last?

Many modern belts last a long time, but heat and age still crack them. If yours is original on an older car, it's worth an inspection.

Should I replace the tensioner with the belt?

Only if it's worn: noisy bearing, weak tension, or wobble. Walter checks it and tells you.

My car is overheating. What should I do?

Pull over safely and turn the engine off. Don't open the radiator cap while it's hot. Call or text Walter and he can come to you.

Can I just add coolant?

Topping off is fine short term, but if the level keeps dropping, there's a leak that needs fixing.
