Mobile Battery, Starter & Alternator Repair
When a car won't start, it's usually one of three things: the battery, the starter, or the alternator that's supposed to keep the battery charged. Swapping the wrong one wastes money, and a new battery won't last long if the alternator is weak.
Since a car that won't start isn't going anywhere, this is exactly the kind of job mobile service is made for. Walter tests the whole starting and charging system where the car sits, then fixes the part that actually failed.
What's included
- Battery test (state of charge and load/condition testing)
- Terminal and cable inspection and cleaning
- Charging system test to check alternator output
- Starter and starting-circuit testing
- Battery replacement
- Starter or alternator replacement when that's the fault (many vehicles can be done on site)
Signs you need it
- Clicking, or nothing at all, when you turn the key
- Slow, labored cranking, especially on cold mornings
- Battery or charging warning light
- Dim or flickering headlights and dash lights
- Car dies while driving or stalls at idle
- A battery more than a few years old (Texas heat is hard on batteries)

Walter comes to you
Home, office, or parking lot in Fort Bend County.
If your car is stuck at home, at work, or in a parking lot, Walter comes to it. Let him know when you call whether it clicks, cranks slowly, or does nothing, and how old the battery is. That helps him bring the right parts. On some vehicles the starter or alternator is buried deep enough that the job is better done on a lift; you'll know before he starts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do batteries die so often in Houston?
Heat speeds up the chemical wear inside a battery. Many batteries in hot climates fail sooner than the same battery would up north, often with little warning.
Can a bad alternator kill a new battery?
Yes. If the alternator isn't charging properly, the new battery drains and can be damaged. That's why Walter tests the charging system, not just the battery.
My car starts after a jump. Do I still need service?
Probably. A jump gets you going, but something drained or failed. Testing finds out whether it's the battery, the alternator, or something drawing power when the car is off.
Do you take the old battery?
Yes. Old batteries are taken for proper recycling.
